There are several ramadas specializing in pescado sarandeado - a barbequed fish served with tortillas. The beach in on a lagoon and this is one of the better places in Nararit for snorkeling. If you keep walking past the beach there is a gringo community of luxurious houses on the peninsula called Mar de Jade. There is a small yoga retreat here. To the left of the beach is an estuary - a great spot for a picnic. In low tide you can cross the estuary to Turtle Beach and visit a place where they hatch turtles for repopulatation. You can take the Puerto Vallarta bus from San Blas to Platinitos. Be sure to check the return times since not very many buses run by there.
