You can spend a pleasant day at Casa Manana eating lunch, walking on the beach and using the pool. They have excellent pizza on Saturdays. Los Cocos was hit hard by Hurricane Kenna and parts of the town are still very ramshackle. For some, the most memorable place in Los Cocos was the old Hotel Delfin - it was very rundown, very cheap and right on the ocean. People stayed there for months - even years! Due to the fact that it was literally falling apart, the Delfin has been completely renovated. The only thing that remains from the old days is the dolphin sign in front. Los Cocos is a beach town. There are two or three restaurants and a couple of hotels, but very few stores. There are quite a few gringos living in homes along the beach. You can take the El Llano bus to Los Cocos. It leaves the San Blas bus station every hour on the hour.
